Hiking with NITRO on ts_obstacle_course

Well after the fun Savage XR physics stuff that happened in this thread, Crashday changed the map to ts_obstacle_course (Or something like that), and the next 15-45 minutes or so was spent attempting to conquer the mighty mountain and winding, dangerous trails this map presented.

The map is pretty awesome in that it's REALLY difficult at some parts -- you really have to know your way around Savage by understanding how to leap, jump, sprint-jump, and to time your movements so you don't fall off the trail. (There are probably 40-150 different ways you can fall off the trail as you move up the mountain). Most, if not all, of us ended up falling off the trail, so Crashday did some funny settings with the server, and we were able to 'attack' our way back to where we fell off. It was a hacky way of countering the 'you-fell-off-the-trail-and-have-to-start-all-over' irritation, but it still had it's problems too. (Even with the 'advantage' Crashday gave us, you could still end up flying around the map at super speeds and missing where you wanted to land many times. xD, you can see this if you watch the demo xD)

I wish there were more maps that give you fun things to do in Savage -- besides the fighting. Maps like this one, and the physics maps are clear examples there can be some really fun stuff to do in Savage XR that might appeal to people who just want to have fun but without the fighting aspects. (I know some guys + girls in real life that would probably be interested in downloading Savage XR just to have fun playing around with the XR physics, or to do funny stuff on maps like ts_obstacle_course)

And this part is when we were at the bridge, right after the flag area. The bridge leads of into thin air, and Crashday turned us into buffalos. Then, we jumped. xD


And here is what happened after we all jumped. We chilled out, had some quick conversation, and then I had to leave Savage to do some other things. ^^ Fun times. =D

A great movie idea: The Fall of the Buffalos
