TES V: Skyrim Empty TES V: Skyrim

Post by Morgoth of Udun Sun 13 Nov 2011, 8:38 am

OMGOMGOMG! Very Happy:D:D
All time favourite of mine: The Elder Scrolls!!! Especially Morrowind and Oblivion was pretty okay as well. Skyrim is just going to be periodly awesometastic with a good splash of awesomesauce to top it off Very Happy
Just can't keep myself from dreaming away when I see the demo's and trailers and stuff. That is just going to be loads and loads and loads of: fun.

Yipee!

Any other TES-fans over here?! Very Happy
(http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/)

Now let's see if my computer is still able to handle this sort of stuff and whether I have enough money and time to actually play it. Hmm...

I'm a TES fan, but can't afford the game. Thus, I stick to oblivion. But from the looks of it it was much better than oblivion - especially in regards to voice acting. 70+ voice actors instead of 10 is a huge difference.

I did some research about the "Elder Scrolls" game series, and I do know their highly reknowned for their RPG and story-telling -- but most of the time you just a lone hero doing quests -- you don't even get to fight with other AI party members. I tend to get very scared and nervous in games where my character is always alone. xD

I like to be running around with tons of friendly AI fighting alongside me or at least a few party members. xD

But hey, post some screenshots and maybe even some video footage of what your experience in Skyrim is like -- it's been a huge hype across the internet and on every gaming community I've visited lately. xD

The solution is the PC version, TN - modding makes it all possible. From realism mods to companion- and partnership mods - tesnexus.com - good site for mods.
Watch out for the oblivion mods though, they're mostly filthy...I hope they're going to change that with skyrim.

Well, when you're walking a dungeon on your own and freakin' skeletons or zombies are attacking you out of nowhere or there's an eerie music on the background, you SHOULD get nervous and scared. Part of the fun :p

Don't count on a lot of friendly AI. You can buy a horse and hire some guy probably, but that's it.

I haven't played it yet and probably won't for the next month or so, but dreaming of it already makes my mouth water (is that even an expression, ah whatever) Razz

Yea, i was waiting for the game for years Very Happy I'm a hardcore TES fan, been playing since morrowind came out, and I love the lore, soon will come the time when I start mistaking TES lore for real life lore Very Happy

And I luv to be able to play it on my laptop on high without lags Razz Tho, theres a bug, if your savegame goes over 5mb memory leak appears and game starts lagging after 15-20 minute of playing.

Hey, nice to hear something from you, Hunt3r! Smile

I really liked Morrowind and Oblivion, but unfortunately my PC is too weak to play Skyrim without
lags. Sad

My laptop was also too weak but then I googled and found a way to lower the graphics configuration and it ran perfectly on my laptop.

Here is my configuration: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7592224/skyrimsettings/skyrimsettings.rar

Extract the skyrimsettings.rar and put those files in: C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\Skyrim

Have fun!
