Crashday has to go to military

Hello!
I have to go to military for 6 month. Tomorrow (3rd September) is my first day at the Austrian military. It's mandatory for all austrian adults to either work 6 month for the military or do a 9 month community service. I decided to go to the military. I won't be online that much in the next 6 month, only on the weekends, maybe.

Regarding the Minecraft server, I already have promoted two assistants (Tempi and Tinki) to look after the server, if needed.

Good luck at the army! I hope you are least a bit motivated about it. Mandatory military training should just be abolished, really.

After one month in military, i have to say it's very exhausting. But i got very fit already. I am able to run much larger distances and i now know were's my limit. The people here are very strict. You better do what they say or they don't let you go home on the weekends. Often i don't understand the reasons why we do specific trainings. But i learnt not to think and just execute the orders.
Today we learnt about tactical formations and how to efficiently move forward and scout at the same time. I'd really like to start the weekly clan trainings again after military and try out these formations in savage.
Tomorrow we will shoot with real munition for the first time. There will be 8 stations. There will be moving targets, suddenly appearing targets and static targets.

That's the main thing they want to teach you. Don't think, obey. And that's one of the main problems I have with the military. (Besides hurting, shooting and killing people of course)

But yeah, great to hear that you got fitter (one of the main benefits I guess )! And trying out these formations seems kinda fun too, we have to do that!

DoF already quoted what I wanted to quote, and I fully agree to him. Thank god there is no such thing in Germany anymore... But see it as an experience!

If you think about the experiences on a real battlefield, I could imagine simply obeying orders and not to think would help your psyche to withstand your own actions, at least until the whole thing is over. You'd probably be over yourself if you were to think about what you're actually doing.
