We have no government, we have mafia, really.
We have one of the largest tax in the world every few months tax increases. Salaries are poor, living conditions too. Our fellow citizens are aggressive and dogged. No one I did not want to be born here. That's reason, why we drink so much

Whoah I like quite a few of those pictures on the site, like
this one
http://wp.visit-turda.ro/turda-gorge-cheile-turzii/
and this one
http://wp.visit-turda.ro/the-roman-camp/
Some of the text in one of the articles... it says '...a rich collection of objects, especially from the Roman period.'
I only thought of this now, but does Romania actually have that much history and connection to the Roman history, buildings, and culture in it's landscape? I never thought about this! I thought the only country to really preserve Roman history was Italy.... though I should have remembered the Roman Empire stretched far beyond just Italy way back in time... not to mention Romania the name itself directly has the word 'Roman' in it!
I'm such a nib to realize this so late...

Re: Promote your Country/City
I haven't thought of traveling for awhile now, and this topic brings back some memories. But what is most strange is that before you posted today, just last week or so I read an article about "40 Incredible Secret Places Most Travelers Don't Know About." (http://news.distractify.com/culture/rather-unknown-but-really-special-places-on-earth/?v=1)... and it reminded me there must be some really nice places to see in the world even if they aren't advertised as much in the mainstream.
Ever since I saw that article, it's gotten me to think about keeping track of places that would be nice to visit... specifically because it won't be filled with such average-joe and mainstream tourists.
...and I think Iasi has now become the start of my official list.
It seemed like a very nice place for a family or group to visit, lots of quaint places to explore even as tourists but without the pressure of people over-hyping certain places in a city. (Example: "Oh yer going to France!? Eiffel, Eiffel Tower! Eiffel Tower only! Gogogogogo" )
I wouldn't mind strolling around for a few weeks here or even a month. Thanks for sharing.

Iasi is a very beautiful city, full of history and culture, with nice and friendly people. It's a place for everyone, all ages and plenty to do,depending on what you seek to do.
In fact my entire country is worth visiting all the year round.Every season(4 in all) brings out a certain beauty and don't forget our customs and food. Each area has its unique charm .I can go on for ages to talk about it
I'm glad that you liked it so much that you put it on top of your list. Now I'm even more proud of it
Thank you TN !
