One of MNI-Suoma's Maps

Here is a map MNI-Suoma has been working on, and we will possibly be playing it as part of the WW vs TH Funwar on July 31st 2011. ^^ He says there is no name for it yet, but here is the link to the map -- you can check it regularly for updates that MNI-Suoma makes. He hopes it will be ready by July 31st 2011, so go play-test the map and give feedback (constructive and respectful please, with a touch of friendliness! ^^b), if you are interested. xD

(And if you have extra time, I wouldn't mind seeing some screenshots of the map posted here in the topic! It would definitely help ol' chiprels like myself see what the map is like! I'll probably take some screenshots too at some point. ^^)

Hey and thanks a lot for posting this for a lazy cow like me (i'd add eyebrows-smiley here but I have no idea how to make one with my phone )

Yeah, its my first map ever and i'd love to get some criticism! No fears you'll offend me, that' extremely hard. So be as harsh as you want, it'll help me Extra cookies for those who give handy mapping tips though.

I'll take some screenshots tomorrow, I already had the editor open today for it, but I somehow still managed to forget. Bear with me.

Does anyone know how to take screenshots in the map editor? It isn't F9 like in reg sav.

I once found a really good map making tutorial made by Cola(Fr). That guy created many good maps.
I will try to find the tutorial for you, maybe it also explains how to take screenshots :-)

Just bind it. I think the default bind is F9, at least in Savage. No idea what it is in the editor tho. Hop on IRC and ask the devs

I got it now bind F9 screenshot made the trick. Now I have some major problems with minimap but I hope I can fix it soon

Very intriguing! I can only wonder what kind of tactics and strategy will become standard for this map. xD Some map-makers choose to include more 'visual eye-candy' to maps to make it look more pretty and realistic, but I think your still in the early stages, so you haven't gotten around to that stuff yet, right? ^^

Be sure to let us know when you finish the map, that way we can download it early and take a look! ^^b

TN: I may add some visual candy later if the map seems to work.

Now for my problem. Turns out it is XR maps, as I used XR grass. I may do a non-xr version later, but I am not sure if I have time to do it before the matchtime is. Our matches-server is SFE but Big Wide Open is XR and should be able to play it.

So, would Big Wide Open be ok server for our CW?

Why is that?

I have SFE.
And everytime an XR map is loaded, I immediately get disconnected from the server to the main menu, saying I don't have the right patch to load that map.

Why don't you get the sfe2-patch?
