Re: Minecraft Videos
I found a recording of a minecraft event we played all together some time ago! you won't hear my voice because fraps only recorded the sound i heard, but not my mic. anyways the file was about 240GB but then i applied a mpeg-4 codec and it was only 1.4 GB. if you wanna download it you'll need JDownloader. My bitrate with JDownloader is 4MB/s!! Try it out!
Download JDownloader here
Download the event recording here
I tried downloading the file with JDownloader myself. It took me 5 minutes and 30 seconds =)
Have fun!

Re: Minecraft Videos
D: You always seem to use the most unknown programs to share/open/use files with Crashday! I've never used JDownloader before, and I haven't been able to figure out how to even open the .dlc file to see the video recording your talking about!
I installed JDownloader, copied in the dropbox download link, the program downloaded 'minecraftevent.dlc', but after this, I haven't got a single clue how to open/use the file!
It's very frustrating. x_X I've even googled questions like 'How to open .dlc files' and 'what are .dlc' files and none of that has helped me. >_<
Why is the video file so complicated to extract from this '.dlc' format? I was looking forward to watching the recording! =(

Re: Minecraft Videos
I still have the record from when we had the survival island event in avi or wmv format or something along those lines TN, if you so want them . You'll have to catch me on skype for it, though.

Re: Minecraft Videos
@ TNaismith: Don't copy the dropbox link to JDownloader Download the dlc from dropbox with firefox, internet explorer or whatever you have. Then drop the dlc file in the jdownloader application. Then press the start button!
If you have any more problems just tell me. Btw JDownloader is very common for file downloading.

Re: Minecraft Videos
It'd be a long download Hermit, but sometime in the future it would nice to use that video somehow for advertising/community reasons.
Oops, sorry Crashday, I forgot dropbox was an actual program to download things -- I've used it before when DieOrFail sent something, but it's been a long time. I thought it was similar to megaupload or mediafire!
(When opening your download link, this is all I get on the screen:
m6fSbdh6HS+Of/tbe7hlILEP05UPsPHJLZ5/OSXZEg1MNWFVxc7J/AAm7MsG8wnORulx3JHvFtdPC8F6k4VzTb1WvW+TW8CgFXVIY1c7ZDYsjtPLpM5p5cstbCSAkdN4WLdKGlCHTLGP0i/33)
Going to try it properly this time. xD
EDIT: Figured it out, using the tips you provided! Now I understand what you meant by 'download with your browser', you meant the 'Right-click and Save As' kind of download -- I was just clicking the download link directly and thought it would automatically start downloading. Got it properly done now, and Jdownloader is downloading the video file. Download rate: 177.03 KB/s ETA 3 hours. xD

Re: Minecraft Videos
xD I just realized after I got JDownloader working that it was downloading from rapidshare, somehow. =o ( Rapidshare is definitely a download site I would have recognized -- going through JDownloader really got me confused, hehe. I've downloaded files directly from rapidshare, and didn't have to go through multiple steps like dropbox -> JDownloader -> then finally Rapidshare. o_0 )
I did get to see the video for a little bit though! This was that puzzle event map that took place a few months ago (or was it many months ago now, hehe. ) I had almost forgotten about that one! It was very entertaining to watch the four of you go through the puzzles -- although I haven't watched the entire video yet, still!
Thanks for uploading, great job recording all that too! (I know how it feels to record high-quality videos and be worried about how much space your hard-drive has left. xD)

Re: Minecraft Videos
It does not want to download the video from the dlc file for me. It says:
"Container error: Server claims: http://service.jdownloader..org/dlcrypt/service.phpDLC Fehler: null"
I'm not dying to see the video though, as I've been there, so it'd be okay not to fix it too :p

The dlc file is just a container which "contains" all the links above. => more comfort
JDownloader itself is compatible with the .dlc files and additionally accellerates the downloads.

Re: Minecraft Videos
I know. I fully understood the concept. But it refuses to operate properly. I followed the instructions mentioned previously, since someone already had problems, but this is how I in fact would have done it. Actually, I tried both ways - there is an option to paste the link. It downloaded the dlc file that way, so I executed that in jdownloader and it gave me that error message. Then I just downloaded it normally - same error. So thanks for posting these links.

Re: Minecraft Videos
Little update on the matter: part 10 seems to give me a CRC checksum error no matter how often I re-download it. I also re-downloaded part 9, to see if there was an error initiated by the previous file and only noticed on the next part, but the problem seems to lie with part 10. Part 11 and 15 also give me those errors, but I suppose that's because there was an error before that.
I swear - these kind of things completely seem to hate every cell of my being. It just does not want to work. So, I will just delete it off my disk completely. Nevermind. I can't be bothered with this junk - I've wasted 2,5 hours of my life trying to get this working, to no avail. I shall settle with this before I throw this poo out of my window

Ahhhh, so that's what JDownloader is used for, now things make much more sense! +1 for using JDownloader instead of clicking rapidshare links one at a time. xD
