I got PhotoShop a few months ago and have only used it like twice. I'll try to use one of those tutorials and maybe get lucky with a banner!!!

In the end, I realized I was terrible at Ps, So i just found a cool render that Might work for the banner:

don't believe your horrible ENVY, it's just the first time, and it definitely takes time and a couple of tries doing different things to start using photoshop properly. Try some looking up something really basic where you can follow instructions to create something easy, like a simple button, or simple picture/effect. Google and use your heart to decide what will work for you. ^^

That's basically how I decided to learn. ^^ Also, be willing to mess around and experiment just for fun. The more things you do in photoshop, the more you know what not to do, as well as do for future projects. =D

thx. Should I be using CS4 or CS2? because some guides tell me to use CS2 and others CS4.

Well, CS4 is simply the newest, but lots of photoshop guides were made using CS2. If you can use CS2, it'll be easy to follow the exact directions, but each version of CS is very similar, so if you use CS4 for CS2 guides, it shouldn't be impossible to figure out. ^^

Imageshack is good to host pictures. Once you host the picture, get the URL of the image, then post it here by typing it between [img][/img]

Wow Feathers, that's good editing. When I compared your version to the versions on the website, your pretty d*mn close. It would be neat if that site supported Savage 1 in sig-making, but I dunno if newerth.com might have copyrights or something like that before they hand over code to the sig-making site.

Cool stuff though. Your banner has given me some ideas.

Django has given us permission to try out signature making and to contact the people to see if they can also support Savage

don't know much about codeing tho

Here is another banner I've created just to get back into the practice of Photoshopping. This will probably be part of a weekly update I will begin to start. Every week I'll try to take some nice screenshots of games on Savage servers, and then each week, I'll dedicate myself time to make one Savage-related piece of graphics, banner, or artwork to upload and share. I'm no professional, but I'll share it anyways, and those that find it any decent can use it for whatever purposes they want. Right now, most graphics I'll be making are going to be banners/signatures people can put onto their forum sigs to help advertise for TH on other Savage-related sites. =D Anyways, this sig was made using one screenshot from Savage during last weekend. Spruced up the background with some design brushes (You can look on the internet for many free extra brush packages to add to Photoshop), and then I fiddled around with the text. Did some color overlays, did a lot of fiddling with the size of the font, and also tried a lot of different ideas using the 'Stroke' options. Good enough for me, and I'll try again next week. Laters. ^^
