Morgoth of Udun arrives in Iceland - July 2012

It's true folks, as of yesterday, Morgoth of Udun has begun the journey that he last posted about here on the community forums over 2-weeks ago (Link). His latest entry describes a bit of his arrival experience and then onwards to his first stages of the 2-month hike across the entire Iceland.

Two months of travelling folks -- this isn't just a 3-day vacation or drop-in. Morgoth of Udun, as he has proven on his first hike back in New Zealand -- is serious about these kind of trips, and he's eking it out the good ol' fashioned way -- with his own two feet.

Congratulations on a successful touch-down in Iceland, Morgoth. And may your entire journey be just as successful, from the experiences you'll have in-between, to the final moment your finally looking back after 2-months and saying 'I did it!'.

Morgoth of Udun is a long-time member of the TH Community and has embarked on a two-month hiking trip across Iceland that will extend across July to August. He has previously accomplished a six-month 'tramping' hike across New Zealand on the famous, Te Araroa Trail, which was 1804km that started in 2011 and ended early 2012. Well, trip ended sooner than expected due to very long distances being walked every day and... illness. Afterwards ended up in Berlin, Morocco and Spain. Craziness!
Well, I'm back home now. Might just go to St. Petersburg for a weekend next week, but then it's study, study, study all over again :p
